Founder / C.E.O.
Karen is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Integrated Living, Inc. She earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Wayne State University in Detroit, Mich. Her specialty was occupational therapy/physical rehabilitation and rehabilitation services education and administration. She is currently completing dissertation work for her PhD in Infant and Early Childhood Development through Fielding Graduate University with a specialty in treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders and early infant and childhood disorders.
From 1978 through 1989, Karen worked in the Detroit Medical Center—first as a staff therapist, program development specialist, coordinator of university student programs, assistant director, and finally as the Director of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. In 1992, she started Integrated Living to provide residential housing and care for people with developmental disabilities in community-based homes.
Director of Finance
Ryan began working with SED (severely emotionally disturbed) adolescents in 2008 for Integrated Home Help Services, an affiliate of Integrated Living, before being hired as an Administrative Assistant for Integrated Living in 2010. Ryan was promoted to Billing and Finance Supervisor before being appointed as Director of Finance in 2013.
As Director of Finance, Ryan oversees the billing and payroll departments and has continually developed and implemented financial and operational controls to reduce fraud, ensure compliance with individual program budgets, and improve financial outlook.
Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in Accounting and a Master of Accounting from Oakland University. Ryan achieved CPA status in 2016.
Sara began working with Integrated Living in 2009 as a High School student and stayed with the company through college. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Oakland University, Sara began working full-time in the corporate office as Integrated Living’s Business Manager.
As Business Manager, Sara assists with the implementation of new strategies and business opportunities in order to create a more efficient and successful business model. Sara also helps facilitate financial operations in the finance department along with various day-to-day business operations.
Human Resources Manager
Kelly began working for Integrated Living in 2016 as a Human Resources Professional and was then appointed as Human Resources Manager in 2017. As Integrated Living’s Human Resources Manager, Kelly maintains and enhances all aspects of the HR department by overseeing and directing employee relations, identifying and recruiting top-talent employees and program coordination with Macomb County Community Mental Health and Area Agency on Aging. Kelly also directs the organization of HR programs and policies in regards to compensation, benefits, and employment law regulations.
Kelly graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources Development and has over eight years of experience working in the medical field as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Quality Assurance Director
Jeffrey began working for Integrated Living in 2010 as a Direct Care Worker before becoming an Integrated Living Home Manager for many years. He was then appointed as Quality Assurance Director in May of 2017.
As Quality Assurance Director, Jeffrey assists with establishing and enforcing quality care standards and processes in regards to Recipient Rights, Macomb Oakland Regional Center, and the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
Jeffrey graduated from Oakland University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Integrative Studies and a minor in Training and Development.
